The ongoing wrangle between the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Central Medical Stores (CMS) has deteriorated to the extent where international partners are being drawn in, contributing further to the misunderstandings. An anonymous letter attached to minutes of a confidential meeting held on the 17 July 2006 between donors and the Minister of Health Marjorie Ngaunje alleges that the MoH is attempting to turn the procurement and distribution of drugs, which is the sole responsibility of the ministry through the CMS - over to UNICEF Malawi.
